Rose L. Woodward of Toughkenamon
Rose L. Woodward, 66, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013. Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Gus and Ada Mattoscio. Rose graduated from Goldey-Beacom College and went to work at Kennett High School as an administrative assistant in the guidance office. She retired in 2005. Rose was an extraordinary mother, wife, sister and grandmother and friend. She will be remembered as an exceptionally kind, generous, thoughtful, fun loving person who touched so many lives. Her warm smile and love for the Lord will forever remain in the hearts of those who love her. She is survived by her husband Edward A. Woodward whom she shared 42 years of marriage; her son, David A. Woodward; her daughter, Debbie Woodward Sheme; her brother, Anthony Mattoscio; and three beautiful grandsons. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17th, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, Del., where friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square.
